Priority disease areas for ISCBH are as follows:
- Rare bone diseases
- Inherited bone fragility disorders (eg osteogenesis imperfecta)
- Inherited bone mineralisation disorders (eg XLH, HPP, ARHR)
- Skeletal dysplasia (eg achondroplasia)
- Sclerosing disorders (eg melorheostosis)
- Ectopic bone formation (eg FOP, multiple exostoses)
- Bone disease secondary to other disorders and/or their treatment (eg in the context of kidney disease, cancer, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, other neurological disorders, glucocorticoid treatment, etc)
- Poor bone health due to potentially modifiable environmental factors (eg nutritional deficits, lack of exercise, etc)
